Beyond Our Farms
Annalise's Legacy
Our Miss Face of Humanity Australia, Annalise created her legacy, Beyond our Farms to aid farmers and the agriculture industry across Australia. Her main goal is to use her not-for-profit organisation to help those who provide for us.
The agriculture industry has a huge impact on our world – farmers work everyday to provide the world with food and resources. But who is helping them? There is no such thing as a ‘day off’ in farming. They are forced to work through storms, power outages, fire, drought, public holidays, & major life events. Annalise's mission is to be the connecting link through her organisation to provide such important support and recognition for our Aussie farmers.
We are extremely proud of our queen for her support to farmers across Australia through Beyond our Farms. Learn more about the not-for-profit below.
About Beyond our Farms
Beyond Our Farms is a non-profit organisation project, dedicated to helping our farmers and their families. Creating a connection between farmers and letting them know they are never alone, no matter where they are from. We deliver self-care and food hampers to males, females and children of the agriculture industry. Creating the initial contact with the community so they know beyond our farms is only a call, text or visit away when needed.
Growing up on a dairy farm, Annalise experienced and witnessed first and second hand what the lifestyle is like. While she describes it as one of her highlights of her life growing up around such beautiful environment, she notes it came with its many challenges such as Mental Health, Isolation, Stress, Burn Out, Climate Variability, Storms, and Financial Pressures.
There is no such thing as ‘days off’ in the agriculture industry. Annalise recalls when working on the farm, working on Christmas day, during power outages and severe weather warnings. Farmers responsibility is for their crop, animals, and land. But who cares for our farmers?
From 1974-1975 Australia suffered one of its worst recorded bush fires as 15% of Australia’s land suffered extensive fire damage that were estimated to have burnt 117 million hectares (450,000 square miles). Each year our farmers go through intensive amounts of stress, as all it takes is one wind direction change and sometimes no warning and the whole farmland to be wiped out. It would not only put them out of a job, but financial and mental stress on them and their families.
Her current Instagram platform is cultivating a community network and providing outreach, resources and support to farmers across Australia. She has also started in-person deliveries, delivering hampers to farmers in Tasmania including useful packs, support brochures and just providing a contact and touch point for these everyday heroes.
Her future goals for the platform, advocacy and project is to take it world wide with ambassadors across the globe raising awareness for mental health within the agriculture industry and create connections so our farmers and families know they are never alone no matter where they are or what they are going through.
